Wolf GR606CG 60-inch range repair questions
Nearly every call on one of these is about a single section of a very wide top, so the first question worth answering is which section has stopped behaving: a burner, the charbroiler, the griddle or the oven. Each is fed and lit on its own. Say which one to Wolf Repair Denver on (720) 575-1433 and the van gets loaded for that section before it sets off.
Width changes this range more than the badge does. The opening Wolf asks for is sixty and a quarter inches, and a kitchen fitted around a measurement of sixty will fight you at the last inch. Everything else follows from the same span: a longer run of gas rail, a reach across the top that wants two hands rather than one, and twice the cleaning of a thirty-six inch body.
The other thing this arrangement brings is two module routines instead of one. A charbroiler sits over ceramic tiles with a blank-off plate centred underneath its grate, and a griddle runs off a thermostat with a temperature dial. They are cleaned differently, they fail differently, and one of them carries an installation rule the other does not: where there is no ventilation hood above, Wolf calls for non-combustible materials around a charbroiler.
What it usually turns out to be
Every figure below is a band, not a quote. The fault is found first, the number is agreed with you second, and nothing is ordered until you have said yes to it.
-
The charbroiler clicks and clicks but never lights
UsuallyWolf's own answer here is the knob. That control has two positions only, and it has to arrive fully round at Hi before gas follows the spark. Take it to the stop. Still ticking with the knob home, and the ignition side is the job.
Quoted from Igniter or spark module $180–$470
-
The griddle browns along one edge and not the other
UsuallyThat plate is thermostatically controlled, so it is trying to hold one temperature right across itself and a cool strip means the heat underneath is uneven. What gets looked at is the burner below the plate and what the thermostat is calling for.

-
Everything feels slower once the oven and both modules are lit
UsuallySixty inches of appliance leans on one supply. Wolf asks for a three-quarter inch line into the range and publishes the pressures it expects there, so this becomes a measuring job: what actually arrives with the whole top running.

-
One burner ticks away while the other five light at once
UsuallyThat recess is damp, or its cap has gone back a shade proud. Dry it right out, wash the cap and the ring, seat the cap square. Wolf puts those three ahead of naming any part at all.
Quoted from Igniter or spark module $180–$470
-
The oven below all that cooktop bakes cool
UsuallyThe cavity is its own system and nothing happening above it changes the answer. There is no owner adjustment published for it, so it is read across a whole preheat against a reference thermometer before a part is discussed.
Quoted from Oven thermostat or sensor calibration $220–$470
Still wondering
Will a GR606CG drop into the gap the old range left?
Measure before anything is ordered. Wolf specifies sixty and a quarter inches of opening for its sixty-inch model rather than a flat sixty, and that quarter inch is what catches people out mid-remodel. Check the gap at the back of the run as well as at the front.
Does this one have the second oven the 48-inch ranges have?
Do not assume so. The control-knob chart supplied with the range names an eighteen-inch second oven against the forty-eight inch model and nothing else. Count the oven doors and the knobs with no icon etched beside them, because otherwise the word oven turns ambiguous halfway through a phone call.
Which part of the top should I describe when I ring?
Name the section and the symptom in one breath: charbroiler, griddle, a particular burner, or the oven. That decides what rides out on the van. Wolf Repair Denver can carry an ignition part and a thermostat on the same visit, but nobody carries the whole stockroom to a first look.
