60-inch Wolf R ranges, and the restaurant-style question
Six sixty-inch bodies carry an R code, and what fails on them is ordinary enough: ignition, valves, grate feet, a solid top that will not come up to heat. They look like restaurant equipment and they were built for houses, which is where Wolf Repair Denver works. Ring (720) 575-1433 with the code and the serial and the parts position is known early.
Sixty inches of range in a Denver house is almost always a kitchen that was designed around it, and that shapes the visit as much as the fault does. There is more to lift, a longer reach to the back burners, and a body that is not simply slid out of its gap for a look behind.
What has not changed with age is the machinery. Valves, burners, ignition parts and steel carry on being repairable long after the series stopped being made, and the thing that decides each case is availability rather than condition. That comes off the serial tag, and on these bodies it is under the left-hand burner pan.
What it usually turns out to be
Nothing below carries a figure. Where a row does need us, the fault is found first and the number is agreed with you second, before any part is ordered.

The solid top warms in the middle and stays cool at the rim
UsuallyOn the French top Wolf builds today the burner sits below the centre plate and the surface is graded outwards on purpose, so cooler edges are the design. A middle that will not come up either is the part that points at hardware.
What it costs Nothing — the range is behaving as built
-
The code ends in DC or CF and nobody recognises it
UsuallyWolf's timeline has R606DC finishing in 2005 and R604CF and R604GF in 2006, so those tops were listed for four or five years rather than twelve. Parts are looked up against the serial, and on the short-run codes the answer can be a short one.

The range has to come out and nobody wants to move it
UsuallyA sixty-inch body sits in an opening Wolf specifies at sixty and a quarter inches, with an anti-tip device that has to be engaged again once it goes back. Moving one is planned before the visit rather than improvised during it.

It is in a restaurant kitchen rather than somebody's house
UsuallyThen it falls outside what we take on. Wolf's own warranty on these covers products installed for normal residential use, and our work is residential too. Saying so when you ring saves a wasted afternoon at both ends.
Still wondering
Is a 60-inch Wolf R actually a commercial range?
It is a domestic one built to look the part. Wolf's warranty for these states that it applies to products installed for normal residential use, and all six sixty-inch codes — R606F, R606CG, R606DG, R606DC, R604CF and R604GF — were sold on that basis.
Can parts still be had for a body this wide?
Often, and the serial settles it rather than the code, because components changed partway through a twelve-year production run. Read the tag out from under the left-hand burner pan to Wolf Repair Denver and the parts position is clear before anybody drives across the city to look.
How is a 60-inch service call different from a 36-inch one?
Mostly in access and in time. There is more top to check, a longer gas run behind it, and heavier grates and pans to lift off before anything underneath can be seen. The diagnosis itself is the same work, done over more feet of range.
